Welcome to New Forest Upholstery

New Forest Upholstery is a small independent upholstery and soft furnishings company operating from the heart of the New Forest. We specialise in the restoration and reupholstery of one-off pieces, family heirlooms, or sentimental items, that need a new lease of life.

In addition, we run a variety of courses to help people learn the art of upholstery and soft furnishing.

Our business owner, Sally Mollett, has several years’ experience and qualifications in all aspects of upholstery. Her skills include traditional and modern upholstery methods, and mid-century furniture restoration. Sally also has extensive knowledge and experience of working with a variety of fabrics and finishes. These include tweeds, velvets, and tartans, as well as wools, linens, leather, and vinyl. So if you have a design idea in mind, get in touch with New Forest Upholstery. We can bring your ideas to life.

Creating quality, bespoke, soft furnishings for homes and businesses is another of our areas of expertise. If you want professionally-finished cushions, curtains, and blinds, to complement your new interior design, then look no further. We also offer a number of practical upholstery and soft furnishing classes, that are open to adults of all ages and abilities. Our two day courses are held at the Mortimer Arms in Ower, and take place in a clean, safe, calm and friendly environment. Sally did an amazing job bringing my grandmother’s beloved sofa back to life. It was totally reupholstered, with new springs and slightly reshaped to bring it more in keeping with some of my other furniture. The quality of Sally’s work and her attention to detail are fantastic. Bishra – Today has been a very sad and emotional day for me as it’s the last day for me at The Goodlife Centre where my teacher Sally taught me upholstery for the past two years. Hence I thought of writing a few words about this amazing lady, Sally. I have completed a First Year Upholstery course at The Goodlife Centre and I really loved it. The course tutor Sally was great – really friendly, patient and supportive. Her experience and knowledge on the subject is vast and she was very willing to share it. The class was informal and friendly, the motto was “ there is no stupid question”.
